Kayla's Book Club

Two things you should know about me:

i have dyslexia and i love to read

I am sharing this because I want to break the stigma that people with learning disabilities don't like to (or can't) read. Yes, growing up with dyslexia was difficult. In lower school I was the last to finish my multiplication tables and the last person to read a chapter book. But all of that taught me how to work hard. I woke up every day before school and met with my tutor. She did an incredible job teaching me how to read, that not only did I learn how to read a chapter book by myself, I also learned to love reading.

With the Covid-19 pandemic and the decline in international travel, I have been reading more than ever. I want to use my blog as a platform to encourage people to read more - especially those with learning disabilities!
